Tarawera, s.s., for Northern ports and Sydney, August 15. The s.s. Te Anau arrived this morning from Southern ports, and leaves this evening for Gisborne and Auckland. The s.s. Taupo leaves this evening for Wellington and Greymouth. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, August 10. The steamer Anglian arrived from the south .yesterday, berthing at the Quaystreet jetty. Captain Hood had some difficulty in berthing the steamer, owing to a strong flood tide, and the vessel not answering her helm quickly. While backing out past the end of the Queenstreet wharf, the tide caught the vessel and swung her on to the Rangatira, which was berthed there, with the result that the Anglian had two of her davits carried away, part of her rails smashed, aud damage done to a part of her rigging.
