Hawk 3's Bay as at present constituted is extended to the north from the Tutaekuri River as far as the Mohaka River, and loses on the south side the country between Waipawa River and Makaretu. It also loses Western Spit, which goes to Napier. Colonel Fraser, the present Sergeant-at-Arms, contests Ohinemuri. Dr Newman contests Otaki, which includes the Upper Hutt, the bulk of the Lower Hutt and the town of Johnsonville. The now electorate on the West Coast is known as Taranaki, and not Waitara. Mr O'Regan has definitely decided to stand for Boiler. It is said that the new boundaries of Onehunga make Sir Maurice O'Rourke's return a certainty. Mr Scobie MeKenzie stands for Port Chalmers. Now that Mr Mitchelson has decided not to seek re-election for Eden, strenuous efforts have been made to induce bim to stand lor the Auckland seat.
