Constable O'Boarke's residence at Otaki was destroyed by fire on Sunday afternoon last. The building was owned b.v Mr Tom Bansfield, but it is not known whether it -was insured. The furniture was insured for J75 in the Northern Company but Mr O'Roorke estimates his loss at fully £"200 over that amount. A defective chimney is ■Utod to have caused ths accident
