It seems very probable that at the close of the Financial debate, or at the end of the week, the House will adjourn for a week to enable the Banking Committee to sit day and night. The Legislative Council Committee is making steady progress with the investigations, while the House Committee, unless some provision is made for more lengthy sittings, will not at the present rate finish this side of Christmas.
