PARTICULARS OF THE RACE. London, July 18. Stanbury went to the front shortly after the start, and at Hammersmith Bridge led the diminutive Englishman by a length. This spot was passed in Bmin 17sec., which is the fastest on record. From this out the Australian had matters all his own way, the race being a mere procession, Stanbury eventually winning by eight lengths. Time, 21min ssec.
