ANOTHER EXPLORING PARTY. London, July 18. The death is announced of Ernest Curtins, L.L.1)., a German hellenist, whose works on Greek antiquities are famous. He accompanied Ottfried Miiller in his arclieological expedition to the Polopomesus. Another mining and exploring company is being formed under the title of the Alliance Exploring and Finance Company of West Australia and New Zealand. The capital amounts to £200.000, half of which will be issued to the public. Capetown, July 13. Major-General C'arrington, in command of the forces operating in Matabeleland, will attack the rebels' position in the Matoppo Hills in the course of a week or so. Ottawa. July 13.
