THE SCULLING RACE. MARRIAGE WITH DECEASED WIFE'S SISTER. THE UNION BANK'S BALANCESHEET. HEAT WAVE. London, July 10. The champion sculling race between Harding and Stanbury takes place on Monday, and is attracting considerable attention. The betting slightly favors Harding, and a keenly-contested race is anticipated. The House of Lords ha" passed a Bill legalising marriage with a deceased wife's sister by a majority of 38. The Prince of Writs and the Duke of York supported the Bill, while two Archbishops and seventeen Bishops opposed it. The balance-sheet of the Union Bank of Australia shows a profit of £50,561, and a 5 per cent, dividend is recommended.
