Anti-Chinese League.

DEPUTATION TO MINISTER OF LANDS. [By Telegraph.] [SI'F.e'IAI. to Standakd.] "Wellington, This day. A deputation of the Anti-Chinese League waited on the Minister of Lands, and urged that Government grant a block of land near the city to enable the League to compete with the Chinese in market gardening, the land to be either worked on the co-operative system or under Government control, and leased at a nominal rental. Mr J. McKenzie favored the scheme, but did not think the Government should have control. He assured the deputation he would urge his colleagues to give it favorable consideration.
