THE STATE OF CRETE.
THE TURKS DISTRUSTED. London, July 4. A general amnesty has been proclaimed in Crete. The Cretans distrust the Turks, and state that unless the Powers guarantee the execution of reforms they will unite with Greece, In the House of Commons it was stated tha/t England could not act alone for fear of war, and would just act so far as other powers were unanimous.
