THE SOUTH AFRICA CHARTERED COMPANY. RHODES' AND BEIT'S RESIGNATION ACCEPTED. London, June 80. In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain stated that the Chartered Company had intimated on Wednesday last thr»t the resignations of Mr Cecil Rhodes and Mr Beit of their seats on the Board had been considered. and that it was intended to accept them. In replj to a question; Mr Chamberlain said he quite concurred in the step the company were taking.
