The first to move was Canard, who put in a couple of circuits on the Hat at half pace. Golden Hover, Aphony, and Lotion put in slew work. The Finland Wikitoria were sent round twice. The second round they were picked np by Sparkle at the mile post, and ('apt. liussell'.s bracelet horse joined in nt the six-furlong post, the <|uartette racing home. Sparkle, The Plug, and Capt. IJussell's horse finished together, but Wikitoria was half-a-dozen lengths behind. Scrap Iron 11. and Glengarry were associated for a couple of rounds on the Hat at half pace. The Shearer was sent twice round at half pace. Sabreur, Martyrdom, and Hippodrome put in two miles at a steady pace. Pe/iance was worked a couple of rounds at half pace. Direct Veto, Dauntless, Mars, and Sheet Lightning put in slow work. Hopeful, Otaieri, Forty Winks, and Con Boyle's hunter were sent two miles over the big country. Otaieri was pulled out after the first mile, and the trio went on in good style. Yaletta was put over the schooling fences. Solitaire and Otaieri were associated over the schooling fences. The Australian bred mare shaped well, and will develop into a good 'mi. ' Midas, Capon Kouge, and Lord Baven jumped oil together for a mile and a quarter over the schooling fences.
