HE MEETS A GHOST.
AND DEALS WITH HDL Adelaide, May 30. A man named Rudd has paid rather dearly for playing the uhost. \\ bile a peaeeably-disposed citizen was wending his way past a cemetery, a figure clad in white garments emerged from the burial-ground and in sepulchral tones said: " Thomas Meddall, I claim you !" Meddall was willing to he claimed, and invited the ghost to take him, and struck him with a stick. The ghost closed, but Meddall disarranged the sheet, and identiiied Eudd. The Magistrate charged the latter £1 5s for the freak.
