ME V. PARKE S' CHARGES. MEAGHER TO BE STRUCK OFF THE ROLLS. ODDFELLOWS' CONFERENCE. Sydney, May 19. •Judge Murray has been appointed to conduct an investigation into Mr , Varney Parkes' charges against the • Public Works Committee of the Legis- Jm lative Assembly. The Full Court has called upon Meagher to show cause on Friday why he should not be struck off the rolls. Mrs Dean is sueing for a divorce. An international conference of Oddfellows, at which New Zealand is represented, has opened. The aggregate statistics of the order in Australia shows a numerical retrogression of 1230 since last report, but New Zealand has made substantial progress.
