A FORTUNATE ESCAPE.

A THRILLING EXPERIENCE AT

ZEEIIAN

Hobart, May IC>

Mr Whitelaw, secretary of the Miners' Association, had a thrilling experience at Zeehan. He was carrying two boxes of dynamite on horseback, and on crossing a bridge the horse stumbled, and he was thrown over the bridge, falling a distance of 10 feet. One case was smashed to pieces, and White-law terribly bruised by the other striking him. Fortunately the dynamite did not explode.
