VICTORIA WINS THE EIGHTS. Sydney, May 16. The intercolonial eight-oared race ■was rowed to-day, and was won by the Victorian crew, New South V> ales second, and Queensland third. The Victorians gained an advantage ai the start, getting away very smartly, and shortly after established a lead of a length and a half. They eventually won by a length. Queensland was ontpaced. The Victorians have now a record of 14 wins against New South W ales and four against Queensland.
