NON-UNIONISTS ASSISTING THE STRIKERS.

Newcastle, May 5. There is some prospect of the crane employes joining the miners on strike. If they do the shipment of coal will be blocked. The Pacific minors, a non-union lodge, have decided not to resume work until the demands of the district are granted. The Sartlee men, after obtaining concessions and signing the agreement, have taken a similar course, which will greatly strengthen the hands of the strikers. The negotiations of the Lambton and New Lambton men have proved futile, and the pits remain closed.
