A FERRY BOAT SUNK.
SEVEN HUNDRED PERSONS DROWNED, Calcutta, November 8. By the sinking of a ferry steamer to-day 700 persons were drowned. The accident was of a very distressing nature, but only meagre details are yet to hand.
