For Makaraka, Waerenga-a-hika and Ormond, daily at 2.30 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne daily at 11 a.m. For Wairengaokuri, Tiniroto and Wairoa, every Monday, at 11 a.m., and arrive at Gisborne every Thursday, at 5 p.m. For Waimata Valley, every Monday, at 1.30 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne every Monday, at 10.30 a.m. For Tologa Bay, Tokomaru, Tuparoa, Akuaku, Port Awanui, Waipiroßay and Rangitukia every Friday, at 7 p.m. and arrive at Gisborne every Thursday al 6 p.m. For Matawhero, Te Arai Bridge and Patutahl, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, at 2 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne on the same days, at 11 a.m. For Te Karaka and Whatatutu, every Tuesday at 2 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne every Thursday at 11 a.m. For Hick’a Bay and Te Araroa every alternate Friday at 7 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne every alternate Thursday at 6,m. Non.—Parcels will be received for despatch between 9am and 5 pm, but not later. On Fridays the despatch for South will close at the same hour as the registered letters.
Holiday, 9th November (Prince of Wales’ Birthday).—The Post Offices in the postal district of Gisborne will observe a close holiday on the 9th inst. Mails usually despatched on Friday will close at 7.30 p m on Thursday, Bth. The Telegraph Office will open from 9 a m to 10 a m and from 7 p m to 'Bpm. A delivery of town letters will be made over the counter on Thursday evening between 7pm and 8 pm. W. W. BESWICK, Chief Postmaster.
