The strike among navvies is to be referred to arbitration and the Parisian Corporation will act as arbitrators. THE FISHERIES’ TREATY, r Washington, Aug. 8. In the Senate the Fisheries Treaty entered into with Canada is being strongly opposed by Senator John Sherman. He declared Canada should either be represented by the British Parliament or the American Senate, probably the latter.
