Hostilities between the Soudanese and Egyptians continue, and daily engagements are reported, heavy losses on both sides resulting. Unless the fighting is dropped it is feared the Nile trade will be entirely suspended and that the tribes in the vicinity of Wady Haifa will take up arms.
