CHINESE TROUBLE.
THE TROUBLE WITH THE ALAMEDA COMPROMISE REJECTED. THE DEADLOCK CONTINUES SvnsEX, yesterday. No definite understanding has been arrived at between the Maritime Labor Union and the captain of the Alameda, and the latter is unable to get his vessel discharged. The captain offered to compromise motters by undertaking, if his ship was discharged, not to return with the Chinese, but the Union rejected the offer, and insisted on the Chinese being discharged. The owners of the Alameda, Messrs Sprenkles, of San Francisco, were cabled to for advice, but owing to the break in the cable no reply has been received.
