The Park Company.
A mketino of the Provisional Directors of the Park Company was held last night at the Argyll Hotel. The articles of association which had been considered at the previous meeting, were adopted and signed by all present. As soon as the signaturee of the remainder, forming the 27 promoters, can be procured the Company will be registered—probably next week. There were seven tenders for clearing, burning and ploughing the Company’s land as follows :—Bell and Robertson, £ll9a per acre; A Olson, £1 9s 9d per acre ; A. O'Neill, £2 3s 61 per acre; Robert Knox, £lloa per sore ; D. Malone, £1 12s per acre; Henderson, Doherty and Gallagher, £3 3s per acre ; and P. McLaughlin, £219 in a lump sum. The tender of B. Knox was accepted and the whole of the work has to be completed by the Ist of March next. Already there are 1,590 shares subscribed for, and when the rest of the promoters sign for registration the number will probably be 2,450, nearly half the required capital. The prospectus will be issued to-morrow, and it is expected that more than the whole ot the unallotted shares will be applied for. The Company promises to be one of the greatest successes in the district.
