The latest intelligence from Sydney states that all the stock centres point to the astounding fact that the season has been so favorable to lambing that the stock of sheep has been increased by. near the enormous total of 5,000,000. The wool clip is said to be the soundest'and fullest they have ever had, and with the lambing so successful, it is thought that a good harvest, of which there is every indication, is the only thing needful to put the country on her feet and the protectionists in their grave. Another fact to be added is that the official country reports show an entire absence of disease among stock of all kinds.
