Sir H. Parkes’ Difficulties.

Svdnby, yesterday. A meeting of Sir Henry Barkes’ supporters was held last evening to take steps to assist him in his present embarrassing pecuniary difficulties, It appears from statements made by Sir Henry to the Legislative Assembly that his liabilities ara very l aree , but that his assets will nearly cover them. The Legislative Assembly have the position of the Premier now under discussion.

Sir Henry Parkes has assigned hja estate over to a board of trustees. His liabilities amount to £52,090. <

A number of Sir Henry’s admirers have given subscriptions to the amount of £3OO to be used for his benefit.

The action of the Premier in assigning his estate to a board of trustees will not affect his official position.
