THE GERMANS IN SAMOA.
1300 MEN LANDED. AffdKiiSß, last night. Serlout news is reported from Samoa. The s.s, Wainui arrived here to-day from Fiji. When she left Suva news had just been received there from Samoa that a German squadron had arrived at Apia, and bad landed 1800 men.
The Germans deposed Malieotoa and proclaimed Tamasee as king. The British and American Consuls advised the Samoans to submit, but have issued a proclamation stating that Tamasee will hot be; recognized by Great Britain and the United States. A special messenger has arrived In Suva from Samoa, bringing advices from the British Consul at Apia, to the Lord High Commissioner 0! the Pacific.
Trade at Samoa is completely paralysed, and serious complications are feared from the action of the Germans.
