Plot Against Filipino President
(Rec 11.01 LONDON, Nov. 13. A United Press correspondent at Manila says.—Additional guards have been placed around the Filipino Presidential Palace to prevent the assassination of President Quirino. A plot to assassinate President Quirino has been discovered by officials ry v ponsible for his safety. The plo. called for three or four gunmen to mingle with callers at the palace. It is presumed ■ that the plot stemmed from defeated political opponents.
