REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent'' Mrs Thomas and daughter, of Australia, are msiting Reeftow and are the guests of Mr and Mrs D. W. Robertson, Ross Town. Mr J. McrGegor, who has been a patient in the Reefton Hospital, has returned home. Mr J. McGregor, who has been a viist to Westport, where he will be the guest of his sister, Mrs H. Hart. The Inangahua Silver Band Visited Westport for the Jubilee of the Westport Municipal Band, and all members spoke highly of the hospitality shown to them on the visit. The St. Stephens Mothers’ Union held their annual Festival on Tuesday. . It was attended by \isitors from other parts of the Coast. Two new business premises have opened in Reefton this week. Miss Rawcliffe has opened a hairdressing salon on Buller Road, while “Homemakers” have commenced business in Broadway. ’Within a week, it is expected that the under coating of tar on the Greymouth-Reefton main highway between Mai - Mai and Reefton. will be completed, after whicn the surface will be laid. This will be the- completion of the 50 miles of highway between Reefton and Greymouth, which will be a great benefit to the motoring public.
