MELBOURNE, Nov. 4 Chicquita, always an odds-on favourite, won the Oaks Stakes at Flemington to-day from Happy Medium and Evening Mist./ This was C’hicquita’s seventh consecutive success in eight starts. She has proved herself an outstanding filly this .season, and should she train on she is likely to rank with some of the great mares of the past. She is now to be spelled, and will be brought back into work for the autumn meetings.
