WAITAHA SALE OF LIVESTOCK

A clearing sale was held on account of Messrs Anderson Bros., on Saturday, at Waitaha, South Westland. There was a large attendance of farmers present from the surrounding districts, and there was a keen demand for all lines of ewes and lambs and fat and forward cattle. National Mortgage and Agency Coy., Ltd., report that the following were the principal sales: Nineteen fat and forward bul--ucks from .£U '7s 6d to £27 7s 92 ewes with lambs at foot from 24s 6d to 27s 6d all counted; 26 fat sheep at 48s Gd; 9 store sheep at 20s; 2 2-shear Southdown rams at sgns; 2 cattle and sheep dogs from £4 10s to £5 10s; two-horse McCormick-Deer-ing mower at £10; riding saddle £l4; and a full range of sundries at market rates.
