ABOS TO HAVE VOTES
SYDNEY, Sept 23. Australian aborigines this year have been given the right to vote the Federal Government elections for the first time in 48 years. None had been admitted to the Commonwealth electoral rolls since the Federation in 1901.
The Commonwealth Electoral Act lias been amended this year to give the right of enrolment to aborigines on State rolls in New South. Wales. Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, and in all States to aborigines who served in the defertces forces. — Reuter.
