AUSTRALIAN KETCH’S RETURN FROM NORTH PACIFIC

AUCKLAND, Sept 26.

The 58ft Melbourne ketch Kurrewa HI was expected to arrive at Suva yesterday on the last leg of its long voyage after competing in the Los Angeles-Honolulu ocean race. A cablegram to this effect was received in Auckland to-day. The yacht will stay one week at Suva before sailing for Melbourne. The last leg of the voyage should take about five weeks. Kurrewa 111 left Samoa on September' 18, after one of) the Auckland crew members, Terry Hammond had spent three days in hospital there, having an absessed tooth extracted. All the crew are reported to be fit and well.
