MeLure has a recent addition to his stable in Sir Walter, an aged gelding h v U-Scott from Drumley. It will be recalled that Sir Walter returned his supporters a dividend of almost a century and a half when he led throughout to win easily. At tnai time, he was in H. J. Smith’s stab e at Haiswell. In several subsequent O utin o-s, he failed to reach the winning list and he was turned ou' for some time on his owner’s property at Karamea.
