West Coast Beat Canterbury in Innis Cup Match

The West Coast schoolboys' team met and defeated Canterbury in a match for the Innis Cup at Victoria Park yesterday. The standard of play was good for such young players. The first half was very even, as the half-time score of 3-all would indicate. In the second spell, however, the West Coast had much the better of the match and went on to win by 14 points to 3. Foi' West Coast, Lalor scored twice and Brown and Ross once each, while Zampese converted a try. Skinner scored for Canterbury. All’ B. McGirr was referee.
