SHIP’S ATTEMPT TO RUN CHINA BLOCKADE

TOKIO, August 19. A freighter ship, the “Moldova,” Df 4,500 tons, and a Panamanian freighter, carrying copper wire and general cargo from Japan, sailed from Yokohama on Tuesday, in. an attempt to run the Chinese Nationalist blockade of Communist China. The ‘Moldova” is making for the Taku bar, outside of Tientsin, which it is reported has recently been intensively patrolled by Nationalist gunboats.
