Gutenberg, of the Californian Institute of Technology; Dr Andrew Thompson, chief of the Canadian Meterological Service; Dr R. A. Sillow (Shanghai), with Mrs Silow, who is a noted scientist; Dr and Mrs Thomson, Mr H. J. Critchfield, Dr K. O. Emery; Dr B. Perkins, Mr Roberts, Dr and Mrs N. M. Carter, Dr F. R. Fosberg, Dr R. C. Miller; Misses Wood; J. Sansom; Bishop and Howard; Dr A. B. Walker; Sir Geoffrey and Ladf Taylor; Professor H. Waring; Dr C. F. Richter; Dr C. L. Hubbs (University of California); Dr and Mrs W. E. Cocklield; Dr and Mrs Porteous; Dr Naomi Clark; Dr and Mrs Hubbs, and Mr McCaskell.
The following were successful in theory of music examinations held by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, in November last: Peter Pooley, Grade 8; Charles Aldridge (Mr P. Pooley) Grade 4 (distinction). There were the only candidates in the Buller district.
