U.S.A. CROPS REACH A HEW RECORD

(Rec. 10.5) WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 The final harvest reports for the United States have been issued to-day. They showed that the aggregate volume of all of the crops was eight decimal seven per cent above, the record that was set in the year 1947. Production records were established this year in corn, in flaxseed, in soya beans, in peanuts, and in rice. The wheat crop was second only to 1947 crop record, and the overall total of grains was one hundred and seventynine million tons. This is forty million tons more than the 1947 total.
