CUSTOMS FIGURES NOT RELEASED AT GREYMOUTH

Although it has been the practice in the past at the Customshouse, Greymouth, to release customs figures each month, this has now been stopped, except for three items—sales tax, gold and petrol. The figures for October, show a reduction of £1179 in customs, compared with the same period last year. Petrol showed an increase of £314, but no figures for gold were issued this month, as the gold tar. was remitted in the budget in August.
