ROYAL TOUR ITINERARY FOR GREYMOUTH

Discussed By Borough Council

At a committee meeting last evening the Greymouth Borough Council accepted the foilowing itinerary for the Royal tour. — On arrival in Greymouth the Royal party will proceed up Tainui Street and High Street to the pavilion at the Keceration Ground, the procession returning by the same route. If the day should be wet the Royal party would proceed via Tainui Street, to Brunner Street; thence down Brunner Street into Turamaha Street, leading' from there on to the lower end ol Tainui Street; thence to Mackay Street, and down to the Regent Theatre, where a civic reception will be tendered to Their Majesties.

Last evening the Mayor Mr F. F. Boustridge said that confirmation of the order for fireworks would be made next Monday and that all further contributions re requested to be m by that date. Deep appreciation was expressed by the council in accepting a contribution of £5O from Truman’s Ltd., towards the fireworks display and the reception. The Mayor stated that the Council who was making ample arrangements on this memorable occasion to enable as many children as possible to see the Royal visitors, also to entertain the children on this occasion.
