WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, in the Housse of Representatives refeared to a Taranaki Maori petition. He said that, unfortunate outside influences had cut across the ideal of harmonious co-operation between Maoris and Europeans, but he did not want to deal with that. Mr Fraser said: "I can quite understand that a Rugby match bulks large in the life of the Maori people and it might be a good social act at times to bring the people together for that purpose.”
