Support For U.S. Strikers By Auckland Watersiders

AUCKLAND, Sept 9. Ships which are declared “black” in the present strike by American Pacific Coast longshoremen will not be worked by the Auckland watersiders if they call here. This is the effect of a decision at the Auckland watersiders’ monthly stop-work meeting which lasted three and a half hours to-day. A resolution was passed that greetings of solidarity be sent to * our American comrades who are fighting to defend their living standards and pledge our support in their struggle against our common enemy.”
