The funeral of Mrs Johannah Connolly, of Runanga, took place yesterday morning at ivaroro cemetery. Kequiem Mass was celebrated at the sacred Heart Church, Runanga,' by the Rev. Father McMonagle, who also conaucteu the service at tne graveside, there was a large attendance of mourners. A son of the late Archibald Little, he previously had worked at his lather s uoot store in Hokitika. Mr Little had recently retired and taken up residence in Hokitika with his wife and family. He is survived by a sister, Mrs Brown (Hokitika) and a brother, Mr W. iLttle (Koiterangi). Fourteen West Coast apopintees are among six hundred new justices of the Peace, who have been appointed by the Governor-General (Sir Bernard Freyberg), V.C.), and this appointments will be gazetted.
