NOXIOUS WEED IN IMPORTED WHEAT
P.A. TIMARU, Sept. 3 The discovery of a noxious .thistle in consignments of Australian wheat, recently imported into New Zealand was announced to-night at a meeting of the Waimate branch of the Federated Farmers. ' siTSS Resolutions were passed asking for Government action in preventing the spread of the wheat through the ..ouptrvside. Memoa'-s said that the weed had been identified as that of the saffron variety.
