Men’s Title to R. M. Harris The 1948 championship tournament held by the West Coast Table Tennis Association on Saturday, was won by R. M. Harris, for the second year in succession. Mrs Z. Cartner, defeated Miss F. Rhodes, for the women's singles title. Final results are:— Men’s singles.—Harris (Greymouth beat Golding (Greymouth) 18-21, 21-14, 12-21, 21-15, 21-16. Women’s singles.—Mrs Z. Cartner (Greymouth) beat Miss F. Rhodes (Greymouth) 22-20, 21-17. Men's doubles. —Martin and Sullivan (Westport) beat Luey and Harris (Greymouth) 21-16, 21-15, 15-21, 21-18. Women’s doubles.—Spark and Rhodes (Greymouth) beat Walker and Walls (Hokitika) 2.1-16, 21-17. Mixed doubles.'— Golding and Rhodes (Greymouth) beat Newton and Spark (Greymouth) 17-21, 22-20, 25-23. Boys’ singles.—Parker (Hokitika) beat Lynch (Greymouth) 21-17, 17-21, 21-14. Girls’ singles.—Havill (Westport) beat Lawrey (Hokitika) 21-18, 18-21, 21-19.
