OBITUARY Mrs L. McVicar

The death occurred suddenly yesterday morning at Totara Flat, of a wellknown :L'Sident of the district, Mrs Bridget McVicar. at the age of 56 years. She was born at No Town and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J. Thornton. For- the past 18 years she was proprietress of the Heatherbell Hotel at Totara Flat. Mrs McVicar is survived by her husband, one son, Lawrence and two daughters, Pauline and Helen (all of Totara Flat); two sisters, Mrs A. Walker and Mrs A. Marshall (Christchurch) and one brother. Mr James Thornton (Ngahere). The funeral will take place at the Karoro cemetery tomorrow morning following Requiem Mass at Totara’ Flat.
