BELGIAN CABINET SPLIT OVER SCHOOLS
BRUSSELS, May 4 It is authoritatively learned that the Prime Minister (M. Spaak) has decided to hand the resignation of his coalition Government to the Prince Regent because the Socialist Party, of which he is the leader, is opposed to the Government policy on the schools. There is a 75-yeau-old dispute between the State-sponsored schools and the free Catholic schools. The two wings of the Belgian Government agreed in pricinple on April 30 on a policy to settle the dispute, which concerns ' Government subsidy to the free Catholic schools-
