More Taranaki Cases of Paralysis

F.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 21. i Suffering from poliomyelitis, a man aged 35, living near Inglewood, was admitted to New Plymouth hospital to-day. One other positive case, an eight-year-old boy from Okau, and two suspects from New Plymouth and Tongaporutu, were reported. There have been 43 positive cases since November.

NAPIER, April 21.

The first positive poliomyelitis case has occurred in . the borough of Napier. The patient is a 12-year-old girl who was admitted to hospital as a suspected case last Saturday, and has now been diagnosed as a positive but very mild case. A suspected case of infantile paralysis, a child aged a year and three-quarters, from One Tree Hill district, was admitted to Auckland Hospital to-day. There were 45 positive cases, 40 of whom are convalescent, and four suspects in hospital to-night.
