Puriter Loses £150,000
LONDON- April 18. , The loss of £150,000 by ‘‘one of the Turf’s best-known young gamblers’ is reported . bv the Daily Mail. It states that he had accounts with several London bookmakers,' and is reputed to hav'e lost more than 130,000 during the week ending Saturday week Icist. •Last year the punter, who “belongs to one of the most .respected families in racing”, .won sums which were stated to total £120,000. Already this great profit has been turned into a loss, which some estimate at xdo,oUu. so that the total loss over a brief period may have been between £150,00'0 and' £175,000.
