RUGBY FOOTBALL TOO MUCH WINE FOR WALLABIES!

PARIS, Jan. 19.

Several Paris newspapers report Trevor Allen, captain of the Wallabies’ Rugby team, as saying that too much wine and ice-cream, and hot enough tea, are having a bad effect upon the players. The sports newspaper Equipe said that Allen thought they had been eating too much. He said: “And the man never leaves our 'glasses empty at meal-times. I am afraid that too much wine is making for bad football.”

Allen said the players were accustomed to drinking tea.
