Five Gun-gangs Rounded up in London

LONDON, May 21. In a month’s intensive hunt for criminals, 1,000 detectives and several thousand uniformed police rounded up five gun gangs in London, arrested 236 deserters and in al least 20 raids “froze” West End drinking clubs and dens where criminals had been meeting, says the “Evening Standard.” The police since the beginning of 'the year have arrested 918 army deserters and another 1,854 have surrendered.
