N.Z. Penny Stamp Brings £210
LONDON, May 21
A used penny red stamp, -issued in New Zealand in 1855, from the collection of F. H Bryant, of Cobham Surrey, fetched £2lO at Harmer’s auction rooms.
Mr Cyril Harmer said Mr Bryant bought the stamp for £5O a few years ago. It was a specimen of the first stamps issued in New Zealand.
